The bilby has disappeared from 80% of its former range. Introduced animals and habitat change have decimated their numbers and drastically reduced their distribution.
With the resources available to it, Save the Bilby Fund is doing everything in its power to help save this precious marsupial of the Australian outback. The Fund is responsible for coordinating the National Recovery Plan for the species because, without this type of informed management of the wild, captive and semi-captive populations, we risk bilbies becoming extinct.
Save the Bilby Fund relies on your support since we have no recurrent funding from any source, including the government.

Support National Bilby Day
National Bilby Day is more than a date on the calendar; it’s a heartfelt, nationwide call to action to protect one of Australia’s most iconic and endangered marsupials: the Greater Bilby.
Join us and passionate supporters across Australia (and beyond!) on the second Sunday in September every year to come together to celebrate, fundraise, and spread awareness. Together, we can ensure the bilby’s future remains wild and free. This year, locations all over Australia are lighting up green! Join them and Go Green!

HOW TO MAKE A BEQUEST
There are several ways of including a gift in your Will; once you have decided which one is right for you, you can ask your solicitor more or use the suggested wording below:
Specific Bequest
A specific bequest may include money, property, stocks, shares or insurance.
“I give, free of all duties and taxes, the amount of $…………… or my units/shares in …………… Trust/Ltd or my real property situated at [insert street address] having the title reference …………… to the Save the Bilby Fund Ltd, ABN 43 112 980 373, of The train station, King Street, Charleville, Qld, 4470. The receipt of the treasurer, secretary or public officer for the time being of the Save the Bilby Fund is an absolute discharge to my executor.”
Residual Gift
A residual gift is where you can nominate to leave part or all of what is left of your estate after provisions have been made for family and friends.
“I give, free of all duties and taxes, the residue of my estate (or ……………% of the residue of my estate) to the Save the Bilby Fund Ltd, ABN 43 112 980 373, of The train station, King Street, Charleville, Qld, 4470. The receipt of the treasurer, secretary or public officer for the time being of the Save the Bilby Fund is an absolute discharge to my executor.”
Percentage Bequest
A percentage bequest is where you can nominate to leave a specified percentage of your total estate.
“I give, free of all duties and taxes, …….% of my estate to the Save the Bilby Fund Ltd, ABN 43 112 980 373, of The train station, King Street, Charleville, Qld, 4470. The receipt of the treasurer, secretary or public officer for the time being of the Save the Bilby Fund is an absolute discharge to my executor.”
