Three adorable and soft bilbies huddled together. They are asking for your help.
Can you help us?
Our work to save bilbies relies on it

Without help from the Australian public, we risk losing bilbies from the wild forever.

The bilby has disappeared from 80% of its former range. Introduced animals and habitat change have decimated their numbers and drastically reduced their distribution.

With the resources available to it, Save the Bilby Fund is doing everything in its power to help save this precious marsupial of the Australian outback. The Fund is responsible for coordinating the National Recovery Plan for the species. Without this type of informed management of the wild, captive and semi-captive populations, we risk bilbies becoming extinct.

Save the Bilby Fund relies on your support, and we have no recurrent funding from any source, including the government.

The bilby’s future is in your hands.

Help us fundraise

Make a bequest

The Fund has only been able to come this far since being the recipient of a bequest a few years ago. We have been running on that and the smell of an oily rag!

All of us at The Fund truly are grateful for that gift; otherwise, we would not be doing the important breeding work that we are doing now.

We know that leaving a bequest is a deeply personal and individual decision. However, many bilby-lovers have asked us what they could do should they wish to include us in their will after their loved ones have been taken care of. So, if you would like to make sure that the bilbies live beyond your own lifetime for future generations, we would love to assist.

Please email us at supportercare@savethebilbyfund.org for any questions about leaving a gift in your will.
