Help grant a little battler’s Christmas Wish.

In all my years watching bilbies, I’ve never seen one show the slightest interest in picking up a pen. They’ve never tried to scratch a Christmas list in the sand.

So, it’s safe to say that not one of our little furry marsupial friends will write to Santa this Christmas. That means he’ll never know their Christmas wish, and there’s zero chance of it being granted.

But it would be genuinely catastrophic if what bilbies most want – and urgently need – was overlooked, so I’m sharing their Christmas wish with you.

This Christmas, bilbies just want to survive (although they wouldn’t say no to a crunchy locust or two if that’s an option). In reality, it won’t be the big man in red who saves this little Aussie battler. It’s up to all of us.

So, I’m asking if you’ll step into Santa’s boots these holidays and help grant the bilbies’ wish.

We don’t want this Christmas to be one of the bilbies’ last. That’s why survival is top of their Christmas list.

By donating, you can join other bilby lovers and commit to saving this tough little battler. This iconic and adorable marsupial has captured the hearts and minds of Australians for generations. You’ll help fund urgent conservation work that builds on the amazing foundations we’ve built and the successes we’ve had over the last few years.

That includes everything from :

  • erecting the 28km2 predator exclusion fence at Currawinya National Park
  • to testing poop samples
  • and building a picture of the genetic diversity of bilbies in the wild and reserves.

Your gift this Christmas will help us take enormous strides in achieving our goal of having an insurance population of 10,000 bilbies, living safely and protected in managed sanctuaries across Australia, and helping wild bilby populations proliferate again in the wild.

But what about the mealworms? When you donate, you’ll go through to a page where you can vote on which snack our furry marsupial friends will get this Christmas!
